The depths of Britain's Labor (they say Labour) party anti-Semitism

And yet Starmer’s position on taxes, spending, and nationalization barely differs from Corbyn at all. He simply abandoned the fellating of dictators and the mania about Jews. And the public has given Labour its highest polling numbers in decades since.

So what was it that the (((establishment))) was able to dupe the public about, again? Especially since it seems that you are acknowledging Corbyn’s cozy relationship with terrorists at this point and all we disagree on is whether that is a good thing.

Sorry, can’t tell, was this wife-beating, misquoting, ad hominem strawman directed at me?

Is this the thread for chronicling the kind of “criticism of Israel” that Manwich and Jeremy Corbyn support?

Adam Riga, a BDS supporter, has been arrested for vandalizing a synagogue in Montreal yesterday with swastikas.

A gasoline container was found in his possession and police believe his intention was to set the synagogue and adjacent school on fire.

A classic combination.

That guy sounds bad, some people are bad and do anti-Semitc things, it’s a real problem.

I couldn’t find any info about his support for BDS in your link so I did some searching and found this:

That shows a tweet he made.

Please don’t make me do your work in future.

ETA: estimated reading time 1 minute. FFS it’s a small page, what has happened to peoples attention span.

You didn’t see his name on a BDS petition? Must not have looked very hard. Or maybe Mossad broke into your house and gave you special glasses that prevent you from reading certain websites. One can never be sure.

Sorry, where?

Thank you. So, is your position that anti-Semitism isn’t important to worry about and discuss, or is it that the Labour party under Corbyn did not have a problem with anti-Semitism and it was all a conspiracy by right-wingers in order to keep the Tories in power? At the moment, I would say the preponderance of the evidence decides against either one of these positions. But I am putting words into your mouth, perhaps - if your position is not one of these two (which is how it appeared to me from the post I am replying to here), please clarify further.

I think concern trolling (by others, off board) has you all in pieces. You need to do some of your own reading, its getting a bit silly.

Just so I follow:

  1. Corbyn supports BDS.
  2. This Nazi asshole also supports BDS and draws swastikas on synagogues.
  3. Therefore, Corbyn supports drawing swastikas on synagogues.

This is your reasoning, right?

Warning for ZosterSandstorm, you like to make debates personal. That is not allowed. While this one might seem minor, you do this far too often. Please stop it. Everytime you make a post in GD or P&E personal going forward will result in a warning and then a suspension if you persist.

This is an official warning to not violate this basic rule of P&E and GD.

If what he’s saying is clearly wrong, then you should be able to point out the flaw. He’s asking you about your position, after all.

Exactly. I’ll make it even easier for you @Manwich: do you believe Labour under Corbyn had issues with anti-Semitism? If not, why not?

This is not directed at me, but if you want to know what I think (And who wouldn’t?) -

Yes, they did, but Corbyn is not, himself, anti-Semitic, and his support of oppressed people over oppressors is not a sign that he is.

“Right wing”

Does not do justice to the “bleeding shambles” and “good grief” of a media and political debate you have in the UK. You lot couldn’t even discuss Brexit properly. How much talking in circles was there?

“conspiracy”

Why would there need to be a conspiracy amongst those who have the same aim? A pack of wolves know what to do.

Also, this isn’t debate club, help my side too, there are no points to win.

Just wanted to add that in the metaphor above where Corbyn is being ripped apart by wolves, he is not a lamb or anything he is strong but good like a boiled sweet or a fine pair of Dr Martens boots (when they were still made in UK (not that there’s anything wrong with being made in Asia (I just heard they aren’t as good now))).

ETA: Maybe he’s a wolf too or a dog that can get the train like that one:

Thanks MrDibble, agreed.

And MrDibble is from South Africa and they know their racism there, they basically got the equivalent of a Nobel Prize for racism (massive global sanctions and condemnation) then they fixed it.

Well, I think you’re on to something.

Hold on - I mistyped.

Well, I think you’re on something.

That’s better.

I don’t have strong feelings for or against the Labour party so I’m done here, not interested enough to try and pick apart riddles.

Meanwhile, Boris Johnson (I heard on a TV show, Nonce the Fortnight or something he set a tramp alight in front of a 50 pound note) pays his mates millions to deliver half a lettuce to hungry children and they pocket the rest.

Now there’s a scandal.

Wait a minute. So both major parties are chock full of racists?

Damn, and I thought we had it bad with the GOP…

I used to work for a Murdoch company and can tell you how they did things when they wanted an idea to become the big current subject of debate in the media.

Order would come down, not sure if from the ghoul in chief or just his well-chosen editors or someone in between. There would be a topic and way of approaching the topic, a talking point. A target, like a troll has a target he wants everyone talking about. His papers and partners would be mobilised to produce content to make it seem like this arose organically.

Partners meant think-tank press releases and “studies” (press releases with more numbers to mesmerise journalists), market research (pay for a poll to ask a question worded in the exact way you want to frame the debate) and politicians policy launches.

The papers would combine opinion pieces with “news articles” sourced from the above press releases, polls and political announcements to fabricate a story, with a well crafted framing to suit their ends. All of a sudden, papers filled with discussion of an issue from news and opinion sections. We can’t ignore that right?

The result was other media organisations, including the supposedly independent government media outlets discussing this new “issue”. Questions would be asked of politicians. Panel shows would discuss the issue with this framing. Free PR! It worked a treat. It was very expert trolling to take the focus away from issues Murdoch did not want discussed. He knows popular opinion, he has owned polling companies.

Examples were stoking war fever for invading Iraq, lowering tax rates for the wealthy, disputing the reality of global warming and attacking left wing parties.

They are experts in getting everyone to talk their way, even if in opposition they frame the debate and set parameters.
