**Rosie** Sorry about your friends. We lost Big Fat Paulie here at Technical Thingies in October to a very aggressive liver cancer, and things haven’t been as fun. He and I were hired within a couple months of each other, and in ten years we just watched other sales critters come and go. Irk today is something else. My boss is out of town this week in Texas, so I’m supposed to be the adult supervision while he’s gone. And the kids are just goofing off. We’ve had three vendor reps in for Sales pitches and training, and I only knew about one of them (today’s) ahead of time. And this clown comes in and says, “If you don’t buy more from us, we’re going to drop you from our sellers list.” Well, clown, stop selling your line to the internet people who know nothing more than how to look up the catalog number, and when someone in our area calls you or your Big Company, refer them over to us. Irksome, very. I just don’t have the patience to deal with people like this anymore, I’m over a decade from even thinking about retiring, and far too old to go looking for another job. They got me trapped by the short hairs. Thanks for the vent. ---
