I want a stop watch with a vibrate function. I want to be able to set it to count down a specific unit of time and then vibrate when it lapses. Does this thing exist? ---

What I would like is to be able to call my computer from my phone, and have the computer record what I said. Note - this is the first step in having the computer automatically transcribe what I’ve said. ---

Vonage, and probably other VOIP systems, has something like this, in that your voicemail is recorded as an mp3, which you can download or have emailed to you. ---

As others have said, US cell phones (from the major carriers, at least) can be texted as long as you know [the correct email address](http://www.komando.com/columns/index.aspx?id=6437). Unfortunately for us, **Larry** , I have yet to get email working with a Canadian cell (Bell, Rogers). ---
