All this time I was quietly seething - bad enough that my boyfriend leaves his dirty laundry ALL OVER THE HOUSE, particularly socks - now he leaves shirts on the couch! Between the cushions, smashed under the back, a new one every day - gargh! I never got around to yelling at him for it, because there are so many other things to yell at him for that I always forgot. Today he’s laughing at lunch and he tells me, “Dude, that dog loves me _so much more than you_. Why does he like to cuddle with my shirts so much?” Grrr. ---

By the way, Captain particularly likes the green Hawaiian shirt. I’ve found that one on the couch in the morning four or five times. ---

Of course. Green Hawaiian shirts are the height of fashion. Your dog has good taste. I have occasionally yelled at my boyfriend for things the cats have actually done. When he protests his innocence, I just tell him “I’m sure you put them up to it.” ---

Reminds me of a Great Dane, I knew named Elliot. I was staying at a friends overnight, he had air and cable and I didn’t and he was going to be away overnight and didn’t want to kennel the dog. As you know Great Dane’s are huge, he was 200 pounds and at least six feet standing up. Anyway my friend says: “Mark if you leave this house for even ten minutes you HAVE to put him in his crate, he is very destructive.” He was so cute, I never thought of him being destructive. So I decided to run down to the 7-11 which was only at the corner. I didn’t want to put the doggie in the “bad” cage for that. The dog was cage trained and didn’t mind it. So I patted him on the head and gave him _strict_ instructions on how to behave. I came back with my slurpee in less than ten minutes. YEP in that amount of time Mr Dog had went into the closet pulled down every shirt, pair of pants, well everything on a hanger in not one but TWO closets. He arranged the clothes in a neat little nest in the middle of the room and was napping when I got back. So yeah dogs love shirts and stuff ---

He only takes one shirt at a time. Just wants to snuggle with it. ---

I guess because it smells more like us. So at least the clothes already needed to be washed before she covered them with dog hair and drool.
