I think I’m leaning towards the former as well. Although the idea of buying dedicated (and obvious) sex furniture raises all kinds of storage issues… ---

I don’t see that any of the positions shown are any better suited to the chair than a bed. ---

$1200??? Although they do sell heavy duty springs for over 500 lbs. You might be able to pass it off as some kind of Bowflex machine, unlike a chair hanging from the ceiling. ---

Ok, Reeder…now I’m curious. Where did your wife try one? The only place I’ve seen the Sybian “in use” is at…erm…well, “adult” parties and clubs where the participants were involved in a number of physically recreational activities…(I realize there are probably some individuals that own the things, but geez, they’re expensive…) ---

It doesn’t look very sturdy, does it? Looks like it might tip over at any wrong move. And sex (well, good sex) isn’t exactly graceful. ---
