Article from today explaining that Captain Kangaroo is not a judge. _“But it may date even earlier than that, back to the 1849 California Gold Rush. In 1985, the nationally syndicated column “The Straight Dope” explained that “some say miners established kangaroo courts to deal with claim jumpers (get it?).””_ When I first followed that link I was hoping the SD cite was along the lines of _Impeachment strategies: Let’s help Nancy!_ from the elections forum. ---
