Thanks, gang, for not tearing me a new one over missing so many Dopers out of the list. (By the way, **tiggeril** , you’re on the list. Thanks for the bunnies.) We all know that post count is not important in and of itself, that a person could easily post thousands of content-free filler posts, and that a tremendous number of low post-count people make a vital contribution here. But some people take their contribution here very seriously and are rightfully proud of their reputation. They deserve to be recognized. I think that the large number of high-post Dopers proves one thing: that lots of people (and not just those with high post counts) consider the SDMB a very important part of their lives and spend a lot of time here. I know I do. This, to me, does not indicate a “lack of a life”. On the contrary, it indicates the strength and success of our community. This should be celebrated. _Post count update:_ I found 253 Dopers with over 1000 posts each. I missed at least 15 (that means I caught about 94% - not too bad for a day’s work).
