# The Download Box That Wouldn't DIE

My computer keeps insisting that I want to download something from [sa.payment.aol.com](http://sa.payment.aol.com). Every time I open a new window of any sort, the damn download box opens up. I click “cancel,” but that doesn’t stop it from returning.

What’s goin’ on here?

Are you using AOL?

If so, I’ve found this procedure that should stop it: In your AOL browser, go to settings\>preferences\>internet properties(www)\>shopping assist tab\>uncheck the box beside “view the shopping assist”\>apply\>ok

You may have some adware installed on your system. Try running [Spybot](http://security.kolla.de/) or [Ad-Aware](http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) to remove it.
