# The Duct Tape Appreciation Thread

I can’t get duct tape here… just a weird _green_ colored Korean version. But it STILL works like a mo-fo!!😃

I tape the hell out of my windows during the winter, when the wolf-wind howls!

Three cheers for duct tape! Hip Hip Hooray!! Hip Hip Hooray!!! Hip Hip **HOORAY**!!!

There are so many good Scylla threads, but one of my favorites is “Baaaad baby and duck tape in Jurrassic park” in which several good combinations of children and duct tape are discussed.  
I’m in the SCA so most of my life is held together with Duct Tape.  
When I was a kid, you always knew which gifts were from Grandpa Satan, because they were the ones taped together with the magical silver tape.

A few years back, the rabbi and I decided to give an excess table to a visiting friend. We helped him take the table apart so it would fit in his car, and he asked if we had any duct tape so that he could tape the legs together for ease of transport. We told him that he didn’t, and he (in all apparent seriousness) exclaimed, “No duct tape! What the hell do you guys do on dates?!!”

We didn’t pursue the matter.
