Oh yeah - three-day weekend. My sweetie gets Moanday off also. Unfortunately, it looks like the whole weekend will be too freekin’ cold for him to do any painting. So I have no idea what he’ll do. Or me, for that matter. But I’m pretty sure I won’t be sleeping in. Stoopit dog. ---

Happy Prehistoric Creatures day all! I think today will be a lazy day- it’s wet and horrible, and I have the house to myself, which us unusual. I may take the opportunity to make cake, and maybe tidy up the kitchen while there aren’t people everywhere. ---

Facebook is becoming too much like my email inbox used to be. I spend way too much time removing “forwarded” stuff. On the positive side, I get many fewer forwarded emails with whatever glurge or chain e-mails: “forward this and Bill Gates will come wash your car.” Some people were incapable of composing a simple email that went beyond “I love this” as the prologue to something someone else sent them. And it’s gotten that way on Facebook. I don’t hate all reposts or shared pages - especially those I probably wouldn’t have found in the first place. But some people NEVER seen to write anything themselves - they just link to a cause or their favorite glurge or pages I already follow (OK, I can’t get too upset about that.) I’ve stopped following some people for that very reason (like an old, old friend who was so far to the right with his political reposts, I just couldn’t take it any longer), and there are a few more that may join the club. I have to take a deep breath and remind myself that FB, like LJ before it, is a personal device, not a message board. And every person is entitled to post whatever and ignore whatever. My logical mind knows that, but my anti-glurge mind wants to scream “KNOCK IT OFF!!!” _\_ At least I don’t follow people who feel compelled to post photos of ever single meal they eat. Then again, I don’t think I could be friends with someone like that. Seriously, get a life!!! 😛 Glad I got that out of my system… at least until someone else reposts something that annoys me. FB just needs better user filters. And this isn’t a dig at anyone here, as far as you know, so don’t get all paranoid. 😛 ---

**Moooom** - I’d rather have stupid “forwarded” stuff than some of the more violent images I’ve seen in my news feed (won’t go into detail about that.) I should get off my behind and make cookies. And try not to eat half the dough. I’ll only eat one quarter of the dough. ---

I was watching the thermo in the car; w/in 2 miles of pulling out (of the _uninsulated_ garage), it droped 20° degrees! :eek: Went to car place for trip #2 today; & havta go back again! :mad: Took the car in for inspection on Monday; when I got home, I realized that they didn’t give me back the ‘key’ for the locking lugnuts; somehow they lost it. Mechanic thinks he put it in the pocket of his hoodie & then it fell out into the back seat of the next car he was working on, which of course, left before mine did. Alright, stuff happens, they said they’d get me a new set; no biggie. As the week went on, they kind of backpedalled a bit & tried to get out of spending the \< $20 to replace them. Plans were made for me to bring it in this morning & have them drill the locked ones & replace them; however, they never got the new set of locks in. :rolleyes: At least I can change a tire if the need were to arise but I need to go back again & he promised to call me ‘within the hour’ two hours ago. :mad: ---

Dumbass Carmen called me again today. I block one number and the bitch calls me from another. Honestly I think credit card scamming and computer virus scamming should be capital crimes. I try not to let anything on FB bother me. I mostly use it to keep up with any news about births and deaths, weddings and stuff. Since my family and friends run from atheist to devout Christian and everything in between, and some lean so far left or right that they can’t stand up straight, I do my best to stay away from anything political or religious. One cousin made me want to scream with all her religious postings but I found out how to block the sites without blocking her. I know I have blocked at least 40 sites and she just keeps on churning them out, but now it’s only a few a week as opposed to dozens a day. Another devout friend started posting stuff from Freedom from Atheism and I though you have got to be shitting me because how does one free oneself from non belief? Most of the stuff on there was about the killing of Christians in China and other countries, I have no control over that. ---

Just got a call from my dermatologist - the bump on my head was a basal cell carcinoma. rah. So I’m going to have a Mohs surgery as soon as we can set it up. Guess it’s a good thing I didn’t ignore it any longer. I’ve got to see a different doctor, but they’re forwarding my info and I’ve got a call in to set up an appointment. Because it couldn’t just be a mole, could it… On the other hand BSC is supposed to be easy to get rid of - it’s very rare that it spreads, so there’s that. Worst case is I’ll end up with a little bald spot - eh, it’s just hair. ---

Today is payday aka, “call up and bitch about not gettin’ paid even though I know I did not get my time sheet in on time to get paid day.” :rolleyes: I don’t even give 'em a chance to get started on it. I just say, “you’ll get paid next week and from now on get your time sheet in on time and there will be no problem. 'Bye!” On the plus side, I got a valentine’s cupcake at irk this mornin’. **MOOOOOOM** any surgery is ick, but good that it was caught early. ---
