Now running a rush load of laundry to deal with said output (including the pants that got peed on while I was wearing them). May need to wash the sofa cushion covers. I can definitely highly recommend Home Reserve’s Pet Care line of fabrics. That stuff is nearly impervious to spills. Established cat (Queen Allie) has spent a significant portion of the day on the bed instead of under it, and seems to want more snuggles with trying-to-sleep human than usual. She’s a full-grown cat (we think she’s a Snowshoe Siamese), the kitten is about four or five weeks old, and Her Majesty is afraid of the little visitor, it would seem. As of not quite 5pm, no trick-or-treaters yet, and I live in an apartment building with a fair number of kids in residence. Hoping we get some, since my 32-cup mixing bowl is overflowing with candy for them. ---

I second **Sticky’s** demand, **doggio**. I’m sure she won’t mind if you bring a few imaginary friends alomg when you meet. Glad things are OK, **rosie**. Work has been crazy busy and I’m still finishing getting over the lovely laryngitis/cold combination. Wish I could completely stop coughing already. We had about 50 kids of assorted sizes, with a surprisingly high proportion of good manners. I was pleased. Should be asleep by now… guess I’ll go,work on that. Hugs all. I know I missed lots. GT ---

Around here, nobody trick or treats on Halloween unless it’s a Saturday. The 4 towns tend to split up the days, either Saturday or Sunday, and…I guess that’s it. I wouldn’t have really believed it worked that way completely except that tonight I had the front door open and the front porch light on \ and itw as that way for 2 hours. After dinner. And not a single person came by. And we’re in a house. In a neighborhood with kids. WTF? Good thing they DIDNT come by, as all I’d have had to give away are my precious Lindor balls. My preciouses~~!!! ---

Good morning! I weep for our “news” sources. I went to CNN’s page this morning only to see a link to an artical on what the cast of \*Jersey Shore \*thinks about the hurricane. Seriously??? :rolleyes: Interestingly busy day ahead. \*\*FCD \*\*wants me to start working on a structural stress analysis report. I’ve never done stress analysis, and the one class I had on it a couple of decades ago left me more confused than anything. But I’m using an old report as a template/guide, so I may figure it out. And it’s for a very small installation - the component weighs less than 2#, so it’s not like it’ll be a huge worry. So we shall see… That’s all I’ve got. Another day in paradise. Happy Thursday!
