I wish Malcolm would act on his feelings for Tripp. I wish that Archer was more formal with his crew as well. I wish Dr. Phlox would get angry just once. I hope they confirm the idea that the shadowy guy from the future is actually from the Mirror-Mirror universe working to make that future come about. I wish they’d explain why Archer has a picture of a space shuttle in his quarters among other vessels named Enterprise and explain why that shuttle is named Enterprise. That shuttle was named by trekkies. If it isn’t the Enterprise shuttle it’d be awfully silly to see Enterprise, Enterprise, Enterprise, Challenger, Enterprise. I think this particular series isn’t even happening in the canon timeline that eventually begets Kirk and Picard. That’s how the current producers can take such liberties with history and the show. ---

I hope they confirm the idea that the shadowy guy from the future is actually from the Mirror-Mirror universe working to make that future come about. I’d like to see an explanation about the difference between TOS and TNG Klingons rather than Worf’s lame line in DS9. I’d like to see the original aliens being used, no new races. Develop the old races so they have a bit more dimension to them rather than Klingons being honor-bound negroes with cheese graters on their foreheads and Vulcans being sexless Chinese bearing pointy ears. The shuttle was pictured as a previous _Enterprise_ in ST:TNG, too, so its canon. Besides, yeah, in our reality the Enterprise was so named due (in part) to a letter-writing campaign by trekkies (it was named by NASA, not trekkies, btw) - in Trek reality, there’s no reason for the first space shuttle to be named _Enterprise_. The first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier was the USS _Enterprise_, so that could’ve started a tradition of naming the first of an important class of vehicles _Enterprise_. I don’t have a problem with that. As for what I wish…besides T’Pol dressing more like a Vulcan and less like a gymnast (besides, silicon is illogical…)…Orion pirates and the Romulan war (we can’t ever see the Romulans and have the crew know that that’s who they are, however, nobody had ever seen a Romulan until Kirk and Spock came along). Oh, and a less butt-ugly hairstyle on T’Pol. It’s been established that Vulcan women don’t necessarily wear their hair like that (T’Pring, T’Pau, Dr Selar from TNG, Saavik, etc…) and Jolene Blalock looks much better than that with her normal hair. ---

Heh, everytime they refer to the chef I imagine him walking onto the bridge going “Hello childrens, hows my little crackas today” I doubt they’d do anything as cute as that or anything like in that Steven Segal movie where he was a retired commando working as a chef on a cruiseship and ends up single handedly beating the terrorists with the help of a stripper who jumped out of a cake earlier in the movie. That’d be cool. ---

Arrrgh…that’ll teach me to read my post before submitting - I was intending to declare that there’s no reason for the first shuttle in this “universe” _not_ to be named _Enterprise_, backed up by the example of the USS _Enterprise_, CVN-65. Hopefully, y’all picked that up by context. ---
