As y’all may know, I’ve been writing a Continuing Epic which has all the earmarks of growing into novel proportions. It started as a post for [LJ Idol](http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/) and then suddenly inspirations began merging, characters started recurring, plots started thickening, motivations started getting figured out, and a vague ghost of an outline has formed. I’m even doing research on crystals, both mineralogy and woo to come up with a method for the magic in my world. Yes, folks, I am now working on writing A Fantasy Novel. _[dramatic chord](http://www.dramabutton.com/)_ Most of it’s getting posted as Idol entries. I’m doing okay with that so far. Most of my problem is that I’m not able to write this in chronological order, perhaps because I’m writing it in response to Idol prompts. It jumps around quite a bit and I think some people are thoroughly lost. Also a new issue has cropped up: as more of the story is getting revealed to me, some things that showed up in previous installments are being revised. The point where my Main Love Interest Guy reveals his Deep Dark Secret to the heroine has (in my head) been moved back several months in the past from where I had it happen in the story I posted. Also, the living arrangements in that story (“If You Have Come Here to Help Me”) were drastically revised in the next story (“Don’t Disgrace the Family Name”) because a new character appeared to fill a hole in the narrative. I really need to finish writing my outline so I can keep track of things like that. It’s actually kind of fun writing this haphazardly and episodically. It’s giving me various anchor points that I can connect together later. It’s like a patchwork quilt. It’ll also probably get me killed in Idol. I got put in the redemption tribe after my last effort. It’s only by the grace of the Writing Gods and someone dropping out of the competition that I didn’t get booted out altogether. But, as I said to one of my fellow contestants, it’s a good sword to die on. Don’t worry folks. I won’t leave you without linking to [The Great Story List of the Continuing Epic](http://ryl.livejournal.com/865145.html). Tentative section titles: Thistle Witch (up to “Kindling”) and Crystal Witch (“Step on a Crack” to the end). And please remember these are still extremely rough drafts. I haven’t done much polishing on them yet. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and yet again a forecast of much rain this afternoon, evenin’, and tomorrow. So far none of the predicted epic rain has happened. The most likely chance is tomorrow since I have to go to the southeast forty for irk. Thus, I expect torrential rain and other apocalyptic weather to occur. 😃 **Spaz** thanks for gettin’ us started. I promise to go read the link when I am more coherent. Given that this is moi we are speakin’ of, og knows when I shall be coherent, but should that happen, read I will. Ok, that’s all I got for now. Thanks for the link, **Spaz** , I will also wait until my brain stops fizzing before I read it. The end of last week was crazily busy and today has been just as bad. I’ve just managed to release all the marks and decisions for my remaining students so I will wait for one of them to start screaming because he’s really happy and a couple of them to scream because they’re unhappy and have been really poorly treated by us dreadful people. Ready the ninja spideys, those pointy sticks might just be needed! ---

_yaawn_ mor…uhh…afternoon all! Hopefully might have a nice temp job from Wednesday, I’m going in to see ‘em, but it did sound more like a get you on the books meeting than an interview. It’s drivin’ round exchanging oldsletters for newsletters, for a hoss rescue place. One of my co-irkers gave 'em my number, which was nice. The blurf has hit hard today, the weekend’s lack of sleep all caught up with me at once. Ugh. Oh well, I shall go caffeinate, and see if it helps. I shall have a nose at the epic when I’m more awake. ---

Happy Moonday! It’s a cloudy 53 degrees today, with a projected high of 72. I’m sleepy, up half the night and then woke too early. I can only blame my bladder - and Sah-dog too. I wonder why I can go all day without running to the bathroom and then I’m up all night? I’m going to log in work early today, we are being offered a bonus for working additional hours and I’m always up for a bonus. Four more days! Only four more days! I’d love to inks to pics but I’m scared of jynxing myself. Today I hear if for sure the loan has been approved but the mortgage lady assures me there is no problem. I don’t know if the HFH is going to be here today or not but if not I’m hoping my niece can come over and help me get my stuff out of the attic. The male half is supposed to come back later this week. As the song goes _all good things must come to and end_. I’m still working out the logistics of moving. While I love the idea of pinning some mistletoe to the back of my pants on the way out I’d really rather nobody was here. **Spaz** I too am going to read, when I can actually sit down and enjoy reading it. ---

Cloudy, gloomy and cold. And the weather is icky too. (rim shot). I’m redoing my kitchen so yesterday I ordered new appliances. Of course I have to get an electrician to run a new circuit for the over the range microwave. Nothing is ever simple. **Sari** , don’t post pics til you are moved. Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. I had to run out this morning and get some waterproof bandages before I could wash dishes. Yesterday I sliced my thumbnail while I was chopping celery. I thought I could get away with leaving it split since I didn’t cut it too far, but it started looking weird after I took a shower, so I pulled the cut part off. It’s a little too sensitive still for me to be plunging it into hot water. ---

Good morning all. Nothing out of the ordinary to report. Except apparently my step-daughter saw a woman giving a guy a BJ in a truck that was parked in from of our house for about five minutes on Friday night/Saturday morning. I hope you’re all doing well. **Spaz** the comments about people getting lost in a story that hasn’t even been finished yet is why most writers don’t let anyone read their stuff until at least the first draft of the whole story is completed. But good luck with it. I tried my hand at writing novels and short stories about a decade ago - I just don’t have the discipline to do it. And I admire those that can. ---

**Doggio** you’re bad! I love it, I’m going to have to get a pic of my ass. My niece is coming tomorrow to help get my stuff out of the attic. When my nieces were girls I made their Halloween costumes for quite a few years. They were dreadful, I am not a good seamstress but they loved them. My niece wants me to make 4 ninja turtle costumes for this year for her 4 boys. Oh boy! I don’t even know where my sewing machine is or where all the attachments are. They were in the other bedroom but the HFH moved everything everywhere without ever asking me or even telling me. Had they stayed the 2-3 months they were originally supposed to stay - well we won’t even go there. Anyway I told my niece I would try so I guess I’m going to be looking a patterns and fabric. ---

This is interesting. Not that I am going to do anything about it. There is another house I put an offer in on and I liked the house a lot. It is individual, has a garage, nice lot. It has a bedroom with a private half bath on the first floor. It was priced at $55,000 which was pretty low. I put in an offer of $70,000 and was outbid on it. It just came back on the market and is priced once again at $55,000. I’m assuming there is something wrong with it. I’ll have to see if the agent knows. ---
