Cake. Chocolate cake with 2 inches of crusty home-made ultra-powerful chocolate frosting. With chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream, whipped cream, and sugar-soaked stwawberries on top. Whole chocolate milk to drink. Enough fat and calories for 10 days consumed in minutes OH YEAH! Pie is good too, though. ---

Cake. Chocolate cake with white frosting, so after I eat it I can go around and eat the frosting left on everyone else’s plate. I am a sucker for white frosting. I don’t like pie, cobbler, betty, etc. Fruit belongs in the fruit bowl. ---

Don’t even have to think about it. PIE. PIE. PIE. Every time. Unless it’s peach pie, then I would have a brownie instead. I want some of cher3’s “Amish-made black raspberry pie with shameless amounts of lard and sugar”. Sounds wonderful. Or cherry. Or blueberry. Or hot apple pie with a crumb topping. Or Key Lime. Or Lemon Meringue. Yummy, yummy, yummy. I don’t like cake…except cheesecake. ---

Pie, dammit. With freshly picked, freshly pitted cherries. The best part of cake is its connection to childhood memories of cleaning the mixer beaters and bowl when all was done. Mmmmm, raw icing. Raw mixing gunk. Raw gooey goodness. I liked the dough more than finished chocolate chip cookies too, come to think of it. If I’d ever been allowed, I think I would have downed the entire batch that way. Still would. ---

Pie. Definitely pie. Especially a banana cream pie. Unless the cake was an Italian Cream cake. Then I would have to say cake. Definitely cake. But if you offered me a slice of my mom’s chocolate pie, I would take the pie. Do brownies count as cake? If they do, then definitely cake. Unless we’re talking about a pecan pie, then… ---

Pie. But none of that super-sweet syrupy junk; I want cherry pie made with lots of sour pie cherries and only a little sugar, or else apple pie made with lemon juice and tart Granny Smiths and not too much sugar (and with vanilla ice cream on top, please), or key lime pie made with tart…well, I think you get the picture. Pie should not be very sweet. It should be tangy, fruit-filled (and I mean real fruit, not that creepy faux fruit you get from a can), and just a little sour. (Or a lot sour, if it’s an apple pie and you’re planning on putting ice cream on it.) The crust should be flaky, tender, buttery, golden, and ever so slightly sweet. And no sugar on top, either. What _is_ it with people today? All this hurling about of extraneous sugar is just plain wrong. But here’s my real tragedy: my LO _hates_ fruit pies. I can make great pies, but there’s no point - she won’t eat 'em, and I can’t eat a whole pie by myself. Plus, there’s much less fun in baking if you’re only baking for yourself. So, to my eternal shame, I must confess: my LO would choose the cake. (Vanilla with vanilla sour cream frosting.) Oh, the horror. ---

Oh come on, Jester. Stop biasing the people. Not all cake has that fluffy icing and you know it. Some cake is hardcore chocolate. Speaking of cake, I’ve got a nice one in my fridge. Gotta go with cake!!! I for one LOOOOve the frosting _AND_ those flowers that everyone else _thankfully_ hates(more for me)😛 My absolute fave type of cake though is Angel Food. Could eat an entire thing in one sitting if I dont watch myself.😃 So light,so fluffy,soooooo delicious ---
