I can only add that I look for Eve’s threads when I log onto the SDMB; she is one of the wittiest posters here besides which her topics are often very interesting–I loved reading about the 99 year old dancer the other day, btw-fascinating! 🙂 Eve is great. 🙂 I don’t follow GD and only venture into the 'Pit upon rare occasion, so had no idea what happened. I did check out the thread in GD about transgenders. I saw “Southern Comfort” last year on HBO, and was moved to tears by it-- I could not believe the doctors who refused to help him because it would make their other patients “uncomfortable.” Honestly, it was something that I’d never thought about before, and the documentary was extremely enlightening. At any rate, Eve does rock. 🙂 ---

I have nothing but admiration for **Eve**. She is bright, witty and courageous. And she reminds me of Dorothy Parker, except nicer. Oh, and also…what **Shayna** sang. 🙂 ---

Despite the churlish fact that she visited my little town, yet cut me dead–deader than Vaudeville– **Eve** is a treasure to be cherished. (I suspect she was too busy, bunked up with a sloe-eyed leading man in some leafy bower, or perhaps the local Stay-N-Sav.) ---

Although I haven’t had the pleasure of interacting with **Eve** on the boards or meeting her in person, I admire her greatly. She embodies grace, dignity, wit, and class. I’ve just seen the link that **Shayna** posted – oh my goodness! **Eve** , you’re stunning, absolutely gorgeous, a beautiful person both inside and out. ---

Eve is definitely one of my favorite people here, a brilliant diamond among many fine minds. She shines in so many ways; as an accomplished author, sharp rapier wit, consummate Manhattanite, roundtable regent, ever-appropriate lyrics archivist, a master of the pearly lorgnette gaze, and a brave heart who has illuminated this board with her honesty. She has an elegance that’s rarely seen these days, and that class-by-herself brings much to this place. You’re exquisite, Eve. ---
