Meh.
A person with a **four digit** user number presumes to come in here and tell us how exclusive _they_ are?
And then presume to be our President?
So far in this thread I see only one other that qualifies for the **super-duper deluxe exclusive** club of **three digit** user numbers.
I repeat. Meh.

If I remember right, my member number is in the lower 40ās. I was in during the old AOL days.
For a slogan, we could borrow āWeāve been here since before the beginning,ā from Firesign Theater.
Or maybeā¦'99 members of Dope on the wall, '99 members of Dope.
This is really kinda silly, a bunch of the Old Dope, posting from the right side of the tracks and looking down our noses at the Nouveau Dope, with their inflatable Cecil in the yard and their pitbulls and their plastic Og Bless America signs. I was a dimwad rookie once, and Iāll bet you were, too. š

I suppose the first social occasion should be a gala benefit to show our solidarity with the newbies ā or as I prefer to call them, the Alternately Dated. Iām not saying that we should bring them to the actual event. I was thinking maybe videotapes or something. We could drink and chat as we wring our hands watching their sad stories. I think we can get Phaedrus as a guest speaker.

As for pre-'99ā¦ I suppose you could make your own thread if you want toā¦ It still says 1999 on the top so all of those folks would still qualify for this āexclusiveā '99 club.
If anyone thought I was looking down on the āNouveau Dopeā has misunderstood my intent, and I hope they realize I was attempting to poke fun at how it really doesnāt matter when you joined, or how many posts you have. The whole thread is a farce. But itās also a way for me to see who is still here, from back when I joined
So AskNott - Does this mean you donāt want in?

Going from memory here folks, but the board didnāt go public until March '99. The February folks would be tests and setup people. Cecil is probably in the 20ās.
The first actual doper from the old AOL would probably be Catbikerā¦I believe heās #33.

Another pre āWinter of Our Missed Contentā user here who was originally on the AOL board.
I dug through the dusty corners of my head and figured out what my old username was, (Leathermaker) and after bribing two hamsters with half a banana, was able to pull up a post, which shows I joined in March 1999 with a two-digit ID. Yay for me at **#41.** š
Before anyone accuses me of having sockpuppets, that old ID is abandoned. Actually, any chance of attaching my current ID to that ID#? š

Another '99 lurker here. Is there a position open for dispensing of liquid beverages? Iāll keep an eye on the inventory (burp) and keep the newbies out of our stash.

Wooohooo! A private club and the revelation that Iām no. 502! I never knew how to look up my number. How do I look up the whole list of members?
OK, who has the brandy and cigars? [Settles into overstuffed leather chair, opens newspaper] What are the scruffy normal people doing today? What a bother, going to work. Just pay someone to do it for you!
Oh, Jeeves, place a call to my broker and, uh, have him do something. Threaten him with not being able to use my vacation house or something if he doesnāt make me more money.
