Urrrrggh. I mean to say, look at the final number in the URL that displays when you point at your user name. You’re number 2109, **Spectre of Pithecanthropus**.
Meaning that you may be in the 99 club, but I’ll always be able think of you as just an SDMB kid, because you’re not only in the four digits, but in the _second set of four digits_.

Just checking to see when I registered, because I totally forget.
I was around here in '99 and well before that on the AOL boards, but it took me a while to register when we switched off AOL (maybe because I was about 12 at the time and didn’t have much to say).

Hrrrmph! _Some_ of us _had_ to lurk in the AOL days because _some_ of us were using our employer’s AOL account to send, nightly, a file to the employer’s business associate; and _some_ of us spent a weeeeeee bit more time on AOL than what was strictly necessary–all to gaze at that fabled brain. Besides, if _some_ of us had posted using that AOL account, methinks that some of us would have regretted it later once the boss found out.
But only some of us.

Hi! It’s me, #308. I thought I had a low post count, but Sonya joined in Mar. 99 and just posted her 5th post! That is surely unbeatable!
We '99ers should have a special designation in addition to “Charter Member” like “Founding Father” or suchlike. Or “Founding Mother” for the ladies. 🙂

I guess I belong here too. I know I haven’t been around much in the last three years, but since I did cough up my subscription fee, I guess I will start posting a little more often.
BTW, how do I find out what my member number is? I registered in the first couple of days of this web-based board and should be at least within the first thousand members.

I can see mine by hovering over my user name. The bottom of my IE window shows the address of the link, and the final portion of the address is u=X.
That, I believe, is your user number. You’re #123.

I think I qualify, lemme post to check. I came over from AOL, but didn’t post there. I am one of the few people who thanks the sky that there was a hiccup and the winter of missed content. I posted to a thread I’m glad doesn’t exist anymore.
