Plus they’re very careful if the cockpit door needs to be opened midflight. When, for example, the pilot needed the toilet, the flight attendant parked the drinks cart in front of it to block passengers from trying to run at the door. On another flight, I noticed the flight attendant went into the cockpit so that there wasn’t just one person in there (a response, perhaps, to the Germanwings crash caused by a suicidal co-pilot).
