# The Fenris vs. Scylla Celebrity Deathmatch

Earlier this month I had e-mailed these two asking if something like this was either welcome or warranted. There were reservations at that time, but now things have come to a point where I believe it can be held off no longer.
**Scylla** declared himself supreme high poobah [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=76057) despite my warnings that such power, no matter how well intentioned, would surely go to his head.
**Fenris** apparently woke up this morning with the song “Blue” playing on the clock/radio and threatened to take over the MB [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=76302).
There being no simple or easy answer to these two usurpers to the throne, and as moderator of the forum where antagonistic additudes threaten to explode between those even now taking up sides, I feel there is only one way to settle this.
Behold … **The FENRIS vs. SCYLLA CELEBRITY DEATHMATCH**.
(and before someone points out that it should have been Scylla vs. Fenris, I did it strictly alphabetically.)
Kibbitzing is welcome. Peanuts and popcorn are available in the lobby.

What do I have to prove?

Besides, Fenris is kind of a swell guy.

Wandering in with my Dr. Pepper and Lorna Doones. This is my first SDMB death match, I think I’ll find a seat a little back from the ring in case things get sweaty or bloody. I get kinda queasy about stuff like that. Checking for my pocket pancho… yep it’s there.
