wow, almost a top-10 spot. I think that’s my best score ever!
Woohoo, I wasn’t dead last in my own Feud!
I’m one of the two people who answered Douglas Adams to the scifi question, so I find this fitting.
I know it’s not my best, but it’s still pretty good for me (I’m usually either around the median, or in the bottom 5). It looks like the unjustified success, playwright, and genre I would write were my biggest point-losers (ironically, I considered “science fiction” for the last). And I think my crossword-a-day habit hurt me on the playwright: Ibsen shows up often in puzzles.
As the guys/gals at SDMB Poker league can testify, I had an inside track to the #1 playwright. Arthur Miller was my grandfather.
But not THE Arthur Miller, Arthur Miller just happened to be the name of my mother’s father.
Top ten–woo hoo!
It was a toss-up for me between Asimov and Clarke for science fiction author. I went with Clarke–still can’t believe he didn’t get more votes.

Well, duh, with a username like that, whaddya expect?
Sorry – no one got around to marking the thread as “game over” – I’ve done that now though.
11th? Unacceptable. Heads are going to roll.
I cannot believe I am the only person who wrote Shel Silverstein. I also can’t believe only one person wrote Judy Blume. I need to get with the times! I didn’t even know who Stephanie Meyer was until I Googled her!
Stephenie Meyer (the author whose first name defies spellcheck programs) is the cousin (well, actually one of many cousins) of “Jill”, a woman I know. Jill’s husband was asked by one of his colleagues several years ago to recommend a book, and suggested “a little vampire romance called Twilight – between the local Borders and Barnes and Noble, at least one should have a copy or two on the shelf.”
Thanks as always, Rebo! (and winterhawk11, too, that was a fun one)
Boy, I suck. My literary references are all obviously a decade or two out of date.
Ah, well. Thanks for a fun Feud!
Hey - Top twenty. Not too shabby after my last two shows.
I still can’t believe nobody else said Nora Roberts. My wife’s book shelves are full of her stuff.
