Is Yahtzee a board game? I don’t recall a board in that game.

It can be easily played without the board, but the version I’m familiar with does come with one: a plain, flat surface for rolling the dice, surrounded by a raised area with slots to hold the dice you’re keeping from your rolls.

Interesting. I wonder if the one we had when I was a kid originally came with a board. I remember a box which had the blue cup, the five dice and score sheets.

But is does allow me to believe that my low score is due to people who don’t abide by the rules. Especially in the case where Yahtzee was my first thought but I changed my mind because I didn’t use a board when playing the game as a youth.

Does this qualify as a board? It’s what I based my answer on.
I never used the board. Half the fun was rattling the dice in the cup and then tossing them on a hard kitchen table. Parents just love that stuff.
