**Object of the game:** Give the most popular answer for each category. **Rules:** 1. No reading the thread before answering. This is on the honor system. 2. Formatting rules must be followed (see below). 3. Joke answers will not be considered, as it is not fair to other players. 4. Google (etc.) is allowed, if you desire. 5. The game will end with a maximum of 50 entrants, and I will score it when I have time available. 6. There is no Rule 6. 7. Special Rules for this particular Feud: See below\*\* Formatting rules:\*\* To make semi-automated scoring possible, and my job easier, make your post look exactly like this: 1. answer 2. answer 3. answer 4. answer No double spacing, do not use the “list” function, no smilies, no urls, no periods, no quote marks, and no punctuation if it is not necessary. Put “pass” if you want to leave an answer blank. If you feel you must qualify your answer, do it AFTER THE LIST! If you don’t format like this, your answers might be DISQUALIFIED. **Scoring:** With 50 entrants, an answer with a match is worth 2x the number of people matching it. If 4 people match, they each get 8 points for that answer. No matches = 0 points. Formula: Score = 100 / (# of entrants) x (# of matches) Anyone who responds to a question with two answers will only have the first one counted as their answer. Good luck! Like in Scrabble, no acronyms, abbreviations, contractions or proper nouns! 2. Google, dictionaries and word lists encouraged! \*\* 3. A word, any length, which is an exception to the rule ‘i before e except after c…’. 4. A word of six or more letters which only has one vowel. 5. A word of six or more letters where all the letters appear in alphabetical order. 6. A word of six or more letters which only has one consonant. 7. A word of six or more letters which has neither the letter a, e, i, o nor u. 8. A word, any length, which is a palindrome. 9. A word, any length, which differs in its US and UK spelling. 10. A word where the same combination of letters in the same order has two different pronunciations and two different meanings. 11. A word of six or more letters that is not a palindrome but is also a word when spelled backwards. 12. A word of more than three letters that is frequently found in crossword puzzles but seldom found in everyday conversation. (crosswordese) ---

I didn’t want to use some of the weirder ones out there, for really no good reason. #6. Chose this for the Kinnikinnik river that flows through Minnesota and Wisconsin, affectionately referred to as the “KK River” in Milwaukee. #8. I like “executor” too, but don’t think it’s as common. #10. It seems like every crossword I’ve worked lately (I do the easy ones) has an entry for Mount Etna, so I’m going with it. I just know the most popular answer’s going to be “anon,” though. ---

If this one had been “five letters” it would have been a much better question - I came up with eerie and aerie off the top of my head; I doubt anyone but complete scrabble fanatics are going to come up with this one. 12. I do not believe “neighbor” is a violation of the rule, as it sounds like “ay,” which is acceptable use of ‘e’ befor ‘i.’ Anyway, this was the hardest feud I’ve participated in. Good one. ---
