No. It was a brain fart. I conflated two authors – Arthur Conan Doyle and T. Coraghessan Boyle. I typed the “T.” and remembered his first name was Arthur so I typed the “A.” and went blithely on with my stupid answer. 🙂

Yes, he did, actually. I have the collected stories in a book just as they appeared in _The Strand_ magazine from the outset, Paget’s famous illustrations included, and that’s just how his name appears.
