Why do you think that is?
I feel the opposite–stuff I lived through feels like it was yesterday. Like, 1998 when I was 13…I have a hard time reconciling that that’s more than twenty years ago.
Is that a typo, or am I whooshed?
I don’t know. Maybe because I’ve lived all those years, and many years before 1975. Someone born in the 80’s will only remember the past 10 or 15 years. Something that happened before they were born is perceived differently than something they have a memory of.
1800 doesn’t seem like a long time ago for me, because I didn’t exist for almost 150 years after that.
Maybe Stephen Hawking could explain it. Or maybe I’m just old and confused.

Me too! And it’s easier to type one word than two, which is probably why I’m consistently at the bottom of the list. 
Yeah, but “tarantula” is the full name, whereas “black widow” works as a fill-in-the-blank.
