I thought for sure that in a 19th century poll, people would be thinking of railroads. But what do I know? And my total lack of knowledge of TV westerns killed me; should have just wikipedia’d it. ---

Dang, second? I did _way_ better than I expected – I thought the Jim West answer (for TV character) would torpedo me. (Are torpedoes 19th-century technology?)
