I would have gone with Aikman, probably, for the Cowboys, Payton for the Bears, and either Riggins or Art Monk for the Skins. ---

Not sure why I didn’t think of Sweetness or Ditka, but for some reason the name that jumped immediately to mind for the Bears was Gale Sayers.
