ChockfullofHeadyGoodness is #50 by my count. But Dolo might DQ a couple of entries because they didn’t follow the rules. Duplicating answers. her call not mine!

Yep, you’re right. No DQ’s this round, but those who duplicated answers will have their second answer changed to “pass.”

Thanks, Sternvogel!

I’ll notify the mods, and score this in the morning.

Damn. I didn’t see the no using birds twice rule.

I second Freudian Slit’s damn … 'cause I sure didn’t see it either. My eyesight just isn’t any good whatsoever apparently. Thank you for not DQing us, Rebo.

And the winners are… **bibliophage ** and swampbear!!! Yay!!! ::flings confetti:: This was interesting. Of the top four, three people got 9 top answers. Swampy only got 8, but both of his wrong answers equal the points of bibliophage. Everyone got #8 wrong, but depending on your answer it changed the score. FS, your duplicate answer and subsequent “pass” got 0 points, as did Chronos’ answer of “plover.”

Fun game! Thanks, everyone! Thank you, too, Ellen.

New one up soon.

Wow, number 3. All time high for moi.

How did everyone got 8 wrong? did everyone repeat answers?

I think of the top 4, none of them picked the most popular answer for question 8.

Funny, ostrich was most popular for both “African” and “Large” Bird, and answers could not be repeated.

I guess it was impossible to have all 10 “conches” since ostrich was a double conch.

If I had said parakeet instead of canary, I would have 9 most popualr answers and the #2 answer for the forced miss. “I coulda have been a contenda.”

Given that 33 people said ostrich two questions prior, that precluded us from using it again.

Ah, I get it.

Anyway, very fun game this round.

Damn, fucking up ostrich geography totally did me in.

Fun feud, though – I liked the “no repeat answers” twist – thanks, Ellen Cherry.

And, as always, thanks to Rebo, our dauntless feudmistress. Yessirree bob, she is a feudmistress without a single daunt.

Wheres WormY?

Are there even birds in Iceland? penguins maybe? at least the northern equivalent of penguins?

The auks, which are represented in Iceland, are the Northern Hemisphere’s analogues to penguins. A list of Icelandic birds can be found here.

Wormie is escaping to Sweden with the last 2 Icelandic birds in his suitcase. Since there are no trees ,there are few birds. Volcanic dust keeps the flying birds on the ground. Auks are waddlers and swimmers. That is the Icelandic bird.

I’m so glad everyone enjoyed the feud! I loves me some birdies.

The “don’t repeat your answers” mechanic of this one was fun. I really wanted to use ostrich for my big bird, but then couldn’t figure out a different African bird that might match other people. Turns out I’d have been better off sticking with ostrich and just passing on Africa than I was swapping out.

I console myself that if I’d gotten in this game in time, I’d have come in smack-dab in the middle. Of course, substituting my answers in for somebody else changes things slightly, but probably not so much to make a large difference.

Does this mean I’m a bird brain?

Yes, I’m afraid it does.
