Mary Tyler Moore was basically the straight (wo)man on both shows. So it will be interesting if the winner of a sitcom poll is someone who wasn’t particularly funny. ---

Morticia was a great character (and, of course, got lead billing,) but she was just one part of a group of great characters. I gotta say, these finalists don’t impress me at all. I can’t cast a vote because I don’t think I’ve ever seen MTM and I dont think I’ve seen the Addams Family in 30 years. And even then, Morticia wasn’t even my favorite female on the show. ---

After you tune in on “Chuckles Bites the Dust” on the MTM show, give “Coast-to-Coast Bigmouth” a view on the DVD show. There are numerous other examples, but these two will do for now. mmm ---

If it had been MTM from the Dick Van Dyke Show, 100%. But single Mary–iffy. Morticia was bold, beautiful and a Wife and Mother to boot. 100% Morticia. ---
