Romney (in the debate) didn’t say he was in favor of the bailout. He said he was in favor of a managed bankruptcy with government “guarantees”. I don’t know exactly what that means, but it appears that’s exactly what he said in his OP-ED. I haven’t looked into it much, but it appears Obama was wrong.

I’ll need to see the transcript, but I thought that Romney was saying he’d called for a managed bailout, and Obama was saying Romney was opposing any government help. Did I mishear?
