# The first non-European, non-South American World Cup winner will be from where? North America? Oceania? Asia? Africa?

Actually his parents are Nigerian, although they may have been naturalized British subjects (I don’t know). If not, then he’s a naturalized British subject, since he’s played on English national youth teams.

So far, four non European, non SA teams have made the semi finals , the United States (1930), Turkey\* (2002), South Korea (2002), Morocco (2022). Make of that wjat you will.

\*I know part of Turkey is in Europe, most people and most if the land is in Asia.
