Sorry for my messed-up spoiler above.

Also, at first I was annoyed at Cisco for giving away Barry’s identity yet again. But then they told Thea (at least, that’s who I think it was).

I kept looking for Nabu in ancient Egypt. No sign of him, alas.

If you don’t want time travel, then don’t watch the Legends of Tomorrow as our group of heroes, centered around the reincarnating lovers, go after an immortal foe with the help of Rip Hunter, Time Master! And the Atom did some experiments in time travel back in the Silver Age, 'cause his extremely heavy gravity occurring around the white dwarf star in his belt (which allowed him to shrink and grow), also could produce a “timepool” for stories in the back of the mighty mite’s mag.

IIRC, it’s not that _he_ could produce that portal; it’s that he knew a professor who experimented with a time portal so small that only the Atom could fit through it.

You are correct, sir. The Time Pool was an invention of Ivy Town University Professor Alpheus Hyatt. My memory was in error.

> It’s probably just me, but after accepting all the time travel, magic, reincarnation and superpowers, the thing that I had trouble accepting was that Oliver Queen (multimillionaire, with a well-known and dramatic backstory (orphaned, missing and believed dead for a long time, and then discovered to be alive) and active candidate for mayor in a major American city) can walk through a coffee shop in another major American city without people reacting to him.

Central City citizens probably don’t want to have anything to do with people from Star(ling) City. Central City has The Flash, who is cool enough to have his own action figure. He’s so cool that even his enemies have their own action figures. What does Star City have? Just armed thugs and hooded vigilantes. They certainly don’t rate their own action figures.

Well, that was pretty dumb, even by Arrow standards. Not sure about the Flash’s standards - I only watch it when crossovers force me to.

The guy’s just not as memorable as Professor Pepperwinkle, is all.

> This creates the problem that nobody, audience or in show, would believe that she’s a major geek. Her dialogue seems to reflect that. Felicity is runway model pretty, like 9 or 10 out of 10 in almost anyone’s book. What would motivate someone like that to hit the books for the thousands of hours it takes to develop the kind of elite technical skills she supposedly has? Obviously, everyone wants to party with her and the most elite men in around her are going to be doing everything they can to impress her and/or hit that.
>
> There’s also the problem of outcomes, evolutionary psych stuff, etc. Point is, women who have both those kind of looks and elite technical skills are vanishingly rare for a reason, and it’s probably not just sex discrimination. (who would discriminate against someone that attractive?!)

Have you seen the flashback episode with her mother? Mom-Felicity is the brainless shallow celebrity-fawner kind of blonde you assume Felicity’s looks should have turned her into - Felicity consciously rejected that as a teen, gothed up and went all Hackerish instead.

> Oh,I thought Vandal Savage was [spoiler]originally a caveman who got zapped by mysterious rays from a sky rock. So are they changing it so he was zapped in Ancient Egypt instead? I think the caveman origin is cooler, but if they have to link them up with the Hawks, I guess it makes sense.]

Yeah, bleh. I really hate this version of Savage. The comic character is 50,000 years old and his motivations are the result of an extremely long life that has no end in sight. He’s inscrutable and sometimes not even a bad guy. There’s a really great [Justice League episode](http://dcau.wikia.com/wiki/Hereafter) where Superman is thrust 30,000 years into the future to find that Vandal Savage is the only living man, everyone else having died when a plan to take over the world went wrong. They work together to send Superman into the past so that he can foil Savage’s plan.

This guy is just Yet Another Psychopathic Murderer, and that’s boring as hell. Tying his immortality to killing the hawkfolks makes him transparent and dull, and his actions inevitable. Bleh again.

I like Felicity’s character well enough, but I don’t like her and Oliver together. They have no chemistry whatsoever, especially compared to his interactions with Laurel and Sarah both.

Wow, I feel exactly the opposite. I didn’t like the idea of them getting together because it just doesn’t seem to fit their characters, and I felt like they’d already resolved that storyline before. But I think it’s actually turned out well for the show because the actors have pretty great chemistry together, unlike Ollie and Laurel, who had the worst chemistry I think I’ve seen on tv, except maybe for Barry and Iris on Flash.
