I was just a kid when the first episode was broadcast. I remember being all excited about a cartoon on in the evening, not just Saturday morning! I don’t recall what the first episode was, tho. I was 6. ---

I was wondering why one of the local morning shows signed off playing a cover of the Flinstones theme. The Flinstones were 25 before I ever saw an episode. ---

It’s important to note that the first episode that aired was “The Flintstone Flyer” , but the first episode that was produced was “The Swimming Pool” (#3 in the list), and was also based off of the pilot “Flagstones” episode. ---

I remember when the first show came on. I was unimpressed. I was a big Rocky and Bullwinkle fan back then (age 8) and saw this as nothing all that great. Still, the fact that it was on at night kept me watching and hoping it might improve. ---

Look for it. Yeah, I did. It’s the only one. I’d like to have been able to watch at least some of the marathon. In fact, I’d love to see all of the older shows on Boomerang. Comcast still has a bunch of rock heads.
