Wow! It looks like we’ve had a lot of new students enroll while I was out sick for the day… And, unfortunately, I have to head out to the job that pays the bills right now, so I can’t take care of the new students. Any other professors that will be around today want to help me out with some of the students not currently being tutored? I’ll pick up on anyone who isn’t being well tutored when I get home tonight. (And **Crunchy** , I’ll let you guest professor, since I know how charming you _can_ be, as long as you stop trying to get the guys to do the propellor trick! I can imagine walking into the next DopeFest and seeing all the guys drop their pants and twirl their penises around in circles like a propeller. Mortification!!!) ---

**Aphrodite** , the blushing school girl act _can_ work… especially if you’re close enough to it to pull it off (and you are!) A lot of guys I’ve talked to _like_ the shy thing, and they’re willing to help you take it a little further. (I can name at least a couple that have wandered into this thread alone.) But it doesn’t work with everyone, so the first thing is to work on getting over the shyness. (Yes, I know it’s hard! It took me YEARS, and I’m still not completely over it yet. I went to see a show **pezpunk’s** band was putting on in February, and it took me 15 minutes to walk up to him and **broccoli!** , because I was only 99% sure that’s who they were!!! 🙂 ) The best advice I have here is practice! So, do I have any male APs ready to help this student out?? **hardygrrl** , I agreed to give **Crunchy** a _trial_ as a guest P, because I’ve seen his flirting skills in action… but I also told him no more humping propellors!!! **Snooooopy** , hmmm… I dunno. :rolleyes: **katie** , as **Ty** mentioned, it was for you to each tutor the other one. You both have skills that you can learn from one another… unless you’d rather go straight to the teaching… I think we have a few other unpartnered students around here. **Ell** , call her! That’s the only way you’re going to get anywhere! Try to be yourself when you talk to her. Ask her if she’d like to go out somewhere. (Somewhere neutral without a lot of pressure is good… maybe a corner restaurant for lunch or something.) And just be yourself! (That’s the best advice I can give anyone… play on your strengths!) **Sunspace** , keep in mind more of my flirting techniques are for board flirting rather than RL (it’s harder to evaluate someone’s RL technique when you’re sitting behind a keyboard! 🙂 ) But it seemed like you were fairly on top of things on the other thread that you mentioned. Would you like to start some one to one study, or just some tips and advice? (Though, the first bit of advice is “Almost anything can be turned into a flirt!”) **Ty** , I know you. Yes, **katie** , the instructor has a point (actually, she has a _couple_ of very nice points, but that’s not what we’re discussing). So let’s see… spent an evening entertaining a couple of Doper guys… sat on Stephen’s lap the moment she got here… Actually, katie, you’ve got me thinking. (And before the rest of the class makes smart-alec remarks, remember: successful flirting requires thought) No, It occurs to me that there are at least two different types of flirting. I’d call the one “introverted” - using just clever, understated come-ons and innuendo-laced banter. **lurker** and **hardygrrl** are giving a good demonstration of this style. “Extroverted” I guess would be the more wild, less-inhibited type, which I assume would involve a more “hands on” approach. Lap-sitting I suppose falls under this, and an expert can engage in this type of flirting without even consuming alcohol. Speaking personally, I’m absolutely no good at the extroverted type. I really don’t even think alcohol does it. So is this an area you might have experience in, **katie**?
