The famous drug bust of the 1960’s, which spawned the famous Gene Hackman movie always interested me. I read that, many years after the bust, much of the seized drugs disappeared from the NYPD evidence vault-what happened to it? Did the internal investigation find the people responsible?😕

According to the film American Gangster, corrupt elements in the NYPD DEA took it and whacked it down to nothing. For what that’s worth.
