{{ **Sunny** }} Well… rats. I said my car only needed a light fitting replacing to pass its annual check, well, the garage had ordered it, it was supposed to be arriving today, and the car was going in this afternoon to get it done. They just phoned me to say it’s not arrived. It’s out of stock at the suppliers til next week, they’ve phoned round everywhere they can think of, checked breakers yards, _no-one_ has it available before next week. Which is when I’m away. It looks like I have to drop off the car and key first thing on Monday morning, then immediately scuttle off to get the coach, then they’re dropping the car back at mine once it’s sorted, as they don’t really have space to keep it for a week but because my post box is not in the least a safe place (this being a flat, I have a box fixed to the wall, it has a lock, but it’s designed by an idiot and you can open it by putting your hand in) they’re keeping the key so I have to walk down and collect it when I get back. 'Cos of course I only have one key 'cos I only ever got one and it would cost over £100 for a spare, which for a car that only cost £550 is a bit much… Anyway, the silver lining I guess is that I now don’t have to go there today, 'cos it’s a lovely sunny autumn morning. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear (dark) with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Highs in the upper 90s the rest of the week. Summer is definitely not over down this way. I get to go to the dentist this mornin’. Rah. After that, I shall take care of miscellaneous errands whilst in town. We shall sup upon leftover pot roast and veggies this eve. I’m thinkin’ some quality cee-mint pond time may be in order for this afternoon. **{{{Sunny}}}** so sorry about Pooka Bear. He had a wonderful and much loved life and I know he knows that. Still this is such a hard thing to do! Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, I must purtify and don goin’ about the public garments. Bother of bothers! Happy Thursday Y’all! ---

Happy Thorsday! It’s a cloudy 72 degrees outside. The latest I’ve heard on Florence is that we are supposed to get 4 inches of rain. I feel like hell this morning, Ripple kept waking me up last night to pet him. I don’t know what was up with that. Now after keeping me up all night he is snoring away, hasn’t even gotten up to go out this morning. I’m sorry about Pooka **{{{Sunny}}}** **FCM** sometimes there is no accounting for why people choose their spouses. Lots to do today but most of it won’t get done. I still feel icky, sore throat, sneezing, and coughing. ---

**{{{{Sunny}}}}** So sorry about Pooka Bear. **Butters** , I hear you about the sleeping thing. It totally sucks. I go through spells like that and it is a tough cycle to break. Good luck on getting a good night’s sleep. It’ll eventually come. I made it through the day yesterday. Here’s to hoping my boss won’t be all micromanaging today. She’s leaving for a conference all of next week, so before she leaves, she always gets all micromanaging. I know it’s to calm her nerves about us not having her as a resource, but there are other people we can go to with questions, so it’s a slightly unfounded panic. And it gets really intense for the team. But then she’ll be gone for a week… ---

Today my boss has decided to help me as I reviewed the List Of Pending Stuff. So, instead of being sitting in the office where people already know how to help me, with a phone number people can call and access to the company’s network, so people can IM or email me, I’ve spent the morning sitting next to him in a meeting room with no network access. I have no idea how was that supposed to help anybody. Hopefully it has at least made him feel useful. Oh, and the List Of Pending Stuff includes things that have me wondering how many companies are out there which work because of magic or something; I’ve already encountered several. Competency on the part of the managers sure isn’t it. ---

Sorry about Pooka, **Sunny** ; he had a long and much-loved life. **Juliet** , se’s just making sure you all know how to function without her; I’ve had my share of insecure bosses too. Enjoy next week. **Sari** , looks like Ripple is learning how to behave from the cat… **swampy** , to put words that don’t go togehter “have a nice time at the dentist”. Electricians arrived and then had to take off for an hour (mystery). Plumbers are also expected sometime today. So fixtures and appliances should be in place by the end of the day. We shall see. ---

When I get fried today, I just think about this cool project I’m doing this weekend. My son has a Ghostbusters themed bedroom and got his first big-boy bed over the summer. The bed is a [low loft bed from IKEA](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80253814/). Right now, we have his mattress on the floor, and the top will be a space for toys and playing. But it’s totally boring. It’s IKEA. So over the weekend, I’m going to pick up some faux brick paneling, cut it to fit the panels of his bed and make his own little firehouse. I have to paint some MDF to lay down on the top bunk space so he can climb up there and play. (Right now, it’s just bed slats.) I’m also using a shadow box, some IKEA lights, and a Ghostbusters sticker to make a nightlight that looks like the Ghostbusters sign. ---
