We have plenty of grammar and style pickypants Dopers around here; we really don’t need one more. Well, yes we do. I just got an email from Apple touting its iPod touch. It is … THE FUNNEST iPOD EVER. Name of GOD. I have purchased an Apple product (an iMac), and my husband has the new iPhone. We are intelligent people who appreciate the intelligent design 😉 of the Apple product line. And yet … I am subjected to “the FUNNEST iPod.” To quote Lina Lamont, _"I keeeeent STANNIT!!’_ ---

I read something today - for the life of me I can’t remember where except that it wasn’t a 16 year old’s blog - it was some newspaper. And the writer used the word “majorly” in a news story. Not quoting anyone, just out there like that. I had to look, and damn if Merriam-Webster doesn’t have it in there. ---

What’s a matter? Can’t think different? Edit: [_The Globe & Mail_](http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20080909.wapple09/BNStory/Technology/home?cid=al_gam_mostemail) had the taste to put “funnest” in quotes, and the restraint to refrain from explicitly calling Mr. Jobs an ass. ---

Yeh, I first read it as ‘Funniest iPod Ever.’ And I was all like, _bwah?!_ Then after I read it over for the eighth time, I realized it was ‘Funnest’. Then the neurons in my brain all atomized at the same time and left me on the floor bleeding from my head-holes. ---

I misread the thread title and subconsciously made a real word. Consequently, I ended up coming into this thread expecting a story about an iPod with nothing but Mitch Hedberg on it.
