Sourek (with a hacek “s” I can’t make on this keyboard) is a not completely uncommon surname in the Czech Republic. It means “scrotum.” When we were in college, my brother worked in the bursar’s office. One day, Phat Phuk Ho came in to pick up her student aid check. ---

I almost forgot – I really honest-to-god truly went to school with a Jack Knoff. And The k is not silent. I have a very vivid memory of hearing his name announced over the PA, and vaguely understanding it was something dirty but too young to really get it. ---

My BF had a schoolmate whose brother is named Brooke Traut. I had a BF in college whose mother said she went to gradeschool with three sisters named Swimmea, Brimmea, and Spookaleen. At my last job, we actually had a long list of crazy-named people- _all_ who worked with us or at one of the other divisions of our company. Whenever the company loudspeaker would fire up, we were on the edge of our seats waiting to laugh. I can’t recall any of them anymore, but my friend still has the list, and it keeps getting longer. We swear that somebody in HR has only _one mission_… ---

I’ve known a: -Harddick -Daniel Daniels -Joe Coffee -Dave Winner (38 and lived in an apartment with his dad) -Hosey Jones (a guy. real name, not nickname) -G. Riddle (his parents could not come to an agreement on a name so they settled the fight by naming him G. Don’t ask me how that makes sense but I saw his driver’s license.) ---
