When I worked at (Name of Cable Company that had large call center I worked for) I used to collect names that I would come across. Which is to say, I’d print the customer page and keep the page in a drawer. Most were celebrity coincidence names (Harry Potter, Steve Martin, Robin Williams, etc)… I also came across Shillouette Dragon Margarita Pancake Major Lee Gay And my personal favorite (the reason I started doing this to begin with) Harry Dick ---

I just saw this one at work the other day. “Harry Bush” I am not even kidding. I went over to **FourPaws** ’ cube and asked him to find a current address for him (knowing he and I have the same train of thought). He looked at it, looked at me. Yup. I’m not the only 5th grader working there. LOL ---

I did a lot of filing at my college job in the Admissions office in the 80s and came across a few odd ones: Penny Nickle Nancy Ann Seeancy (say that outloud!) And later in life I worked at a place with two Richards on the staff. Both went by the nickname of Dick. I actually heard this announcement once, using thier full names. Dick Shaver please Call Dick Hare! Now why whould you shorten your name to Dick if your last name were either Shaver or Hare??? And what are the odds that they would end up working in the same small company??? 😃 ---

When I was in elementary school I saw Rusty Nail listed in the phone book. It’s clean, but still makes me chuckle to this day. A girl I used to work with married into the name Mary Veri. I’m not sure I would have done that. ---

All my life, I’ve been living under the impression that former Providence, RI mayor [Buddy Cianci](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddy_Cianci) named his daughter “Nancy Ann.” But before I posted, I checked the Wikipedia site, which doesn’t mention it. in my high school we had teachers called: mr guinness mr worthington mr foster all brands of beer/lager/whatever and also: mr clark ms clark mrs clark all unrelated oh an my GF’s name is [her 1st name] [my 1st name]s eg using my screen name her surname would be “kaoswolfs” its like destiny or sumthin 😛 also isnt there a thing in canada where the name register clerk can reject a name if its too stupid? ---

A donor on the database for one of the charities I fundraise for is named (Mrs) Cancankerous Wang. First time I saw the name on my screen, I was sure it was a whoosh and somebody playing funny-buggers. Alas, it is a real name. I hope to og she doesn’t read this board. We also have a Mr Cecil Sucksmith. Given the derivation of family names, I wonder what profession Cecil’s ancestors were involved in?? 😃 ---

There’s a professor of Engineering at MIT named **Woody Flowers**. I’ve known some people with names that sounded so close to Woody Woodpecker and J. Jonah Jameson that , if I’d ever heard them over a bad PA system, I’d have to wonder if I heard right. ---

My high school Latin teacher was William Aloysius Francis Gilmartin III. He was relieved that his grandfather died before his own son was born because he did NOT want to foist a IV on his baby boy! When my husband got the job he has now, he had to call and ask for “Precious” (or was it “Princess”?) in the HR department. The receptionist sighed and asked, “Which one? We have four.” 😛 He went to high school with the Morning sisters … Misty, Sunny, and Stormy. ---
