SOOO many. So many posts its hard to choose! For me its Homers Monkey Butler thread for ongoing laughs. For the semi-obscure the funniest one that comes to my mind was during a… yes… FART thread. I’m normally not so childish (bwaaha sure) but this sticks in my mind. As for the poster, I am so sorry, I cant remember who posted it and a search would never find it. If it was you, please say so. Male poster said that once, late at night he let out a fart so sudden and so loud his wife sat bolt upright in bed from a dead sleep and grabbed the phone and said, “Hello? Hello?” Thats right… she answered a FART! i’ve read that ONCE and to this day sometimes it comes to my mind for no reason and I laugh out loud to myself. **SkinnyGuy** ’s “Fat People are out to get me” rant in the Pit a long while back. A song rant about a client who tried to rip him off, set to Billy Joel’s “We didn’t start the fire” with swearing in 6 different languages. I laughed so hard I nearly shit myself. The “Things that made your jaw drop” thread in IMHO last year. One of the posts was about watching a huge owl swoop gracefully across an open courtyard, only to smack head-first into a light pole. Thinking of that “_ **BONNNNGGGGG!!!** _” still cracks me up. Ok, so I’m a philistine. ---

For me, the stand out one ( no link provided as it would jam up my computer forever.) was and is, the one related to the WTC the Onion headlines. That, by far, was the best group effort. Goat Porn and Wally Tries Cyber Sex are also classics. There was, before the Great SDMB Collapse, one called ( I think) The Protest. ---

I don’t remember who the poster was, but it was a rant in the Pit about how one of his redneck neighbors snuck over while he wasn’t home, went over to his car, and destroyed the Darwin fish on his bumper, leaving the fragments conspicuously underneath. Every time he replaced the fish, they did it again. Then he posts in size 900 font about how they did it because **he wouldn’t believe in their MAGICAL SKY PIXIE!!!** It’s posts like that one that proves to everybody at work I’m not actually working because I’m laughing like a maniac. ---

I have the “Shit your pants” thread in my bookmarks in all three browsers I use. when I need a pick-me-up, I read it. I cannot get through the thread without crying with laughter. I found the various Haiku threads to be really, really funny. That’s when I first appreciated how damn funny **Miller** really is. ---
