Well, my meeting is done (with my regular employees). They are all really great. We’re going to change their pay starting Monday. The changes we’re making will save me about $6000 per year. Interesting, just after I finished typing the above paragraph, one of my employees called and said that she talked to her husband and that they want to discuss some business ideas with me over dinner on Saturday. Both of them own their own businesses and she works for me part time. This could turn into something good. ---

We just got some awesome news at work. We’ll be moving to a new location. 🆒 With windows. And an on site food court. And an on site gym. And new cubicles. And in the same location as the other branches of the department all together in one place. I’ll put up with the extra 10 miles commute to have windows where I can see what the weather is doing. I’m excited!! ---

\*\*Dotty \*\* - we’ve no longer got your heat - it’s chilly, bordering on brisk, and drizzly and pretty much yuck here. Winter is sneaking back in. I was having such a good sleep last night, despite the bizarro dream that involved me trying to buy lunch from a vending machine that only accepted cooked rotini pasta as tender. Don’t ask me - I have no idea… Anyway, I must have been deeply in REM sleep when the alarm went off - it was a real struggle to force myself awake. Once I was showered, I was mostly functional, but doggone, talk about a rude awakening!! Why is it when \*\*swampy \*\* talks about his insurance job, I envision him in a white belt and white shoes, a la Herb Tarlek?? Brain fried - that’s all I’ve got. Hugs all around, just because I’m nice, dammit! ---

So why are doctors unwilling to let pregnancies go too far past the due date now? I was \>2 weeks late when I was born, and they didn’t induce my mother. What’s better about getting the kid out sooner? Aside from the last days and weeks of pregnancy being really really uncomfortable? ---

Hmmmm…either the stripping of the membranes worked and **LiLi** is in labor or she is in so much pain that she cannot post or she is lost in a bottle of gin (or drowned in her bathtub). And yes, it hurts that bad. I was sent home from work early and tomorrow is going to be tres busy. I donwanna do any of this. Need sleep. It’s raining here-blech. ---

Yanno, **taxi** , when I was young and foolish, I didn’t want babies. Just the thought - ick! But luckily, I got over it. OK, so I had a pretty easy pregnancy - no puking, no massive weight gain (after the kid popped out, I weighed less than I did before I got pregs - yeah, I was carrying extra poundage anyway…) I worked literally till the last day (went to work Weds, went into labor Thurs in the wee small hours, baby born Thurs afternoon) and I was back to one of my jobs the Monday after I gave birth. Honestly, the worst part was being massively pregnant in August in Florida. What I’m trying to say is - don’t rule it out. It’s an incredible experience. I’m just sorry I was only able to have one. Anyway, \*\*FCD \*\* and I went out for a quick, easy supper. It’s pouring out there. We’re in the chill mode. Glad tomorrow’s Firday. Then Sat is my sister and BIL’s 25th anniversary. I should probably get them a gift, huh? Any suggestions?? ---

I was exactly 20 days late when I was born and my sister was 18 or 19 days late. I guess 30+ years ago they just let you pop when ever you were ready. Well we found out a couple of hours ago we won a major contract so things are gonna get busy around here ---

Hey all, another cold but sunny day here on The Rock. I lazed around reading, waiting for my back meds to kick in, took a long, leisurly shower using the bath products my mom gave me for Christmas, all lilac scented so it’s sort of a reprieve from winter, and just now the kids showed up from school, and The Son brought his girlfriend over. It’s reheated stew for dinner tonight, easy peasy, and The Son still has birthday cake for after. Yay for **rosie’s** windows! Yay for **pie’s** potential business potential! A question for **li-li** , when I had The Son I was late, but not by much. However the circumstances were not only that baby was reluctant, but I needed to get back to the village and my three daughters. My doc agreed to induce me with a seaweed based get applied to my cervix. It still took two applications and three days, but I missed having the pit drip by an hour. I wonder if this is still being used, if it is used in Canada, and what you midwife feels about it. Well, the weather is changing, snow in the forecast for tonight, and my back is complaining and my mind feels like play-doh, so I am going to go get more comfortable and wait for skiffman to come home.
