I could use some MMP hugs here. I got a call earlier today that my 13 year old sister has been molested. ☹ All I’ve done since then is cry, then stop crying and get all angry and pissed off, and then start crying again. How can someone do that to a 13 year old?!?!?! According to my mom, this is the FOURTH time he’s done this. How can they let someone out that keeps doing this?!?! Plus he’s in the army/military, one of the two, I don’t remember right now. How can he be in the miliary if he’s done this before?!?!? I’m just so upset over this. ---

I hate my life. I think that pretty much sums it up. I just finished pricing out a menu because a customer wants to renegotiate our ‘deal’ that we have going. (He gets an extended mileage range without an additional delivery charge.) The menu is Pasta and Meatballs with garlic bread, salad, and dessert. It’s pretty much my ‘lost leader’ at $4.95 per person. Anyways, with the deal he’s already getting my food cost, not even including paying someone to deliver it to him, is 45 percent. :eek: Normal food cost should be around 30 percent. Not sure what else I can do for him. Not sure how to break it to him that there is no more dealing to be done. ETA: If costed out at full value it would be $7.53 per person. ---

Since many Mumpers need them, here are some {{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}. I’m keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers too. Last night, while talking to one of my brothers on the phone, he revealed that he’d been molested by one of the older scouts in his troop–almost 40 years ago, when he was in 6th grade. He said he only remembered it a few years ago. ☹ It happened on an overnight trip, and he was so humiliated that he didn’t tell anyone about it. I didn’t know what to say to him; he probably should seek out a counselor, which I’m going to suggest. I too got makings for chili at the grocery store. I’ve been using ground turkey in my chili for some time now, and can’t tell the difference between it and ground beef. Of course, the chili is made in the crock pot, so it’s cooked long and low so the spices are all worked into the meat, maybe that’s why. It’s good stuff though. We’ll have cornbread muffins with it. I also got the makings for beef stew; love that stuff when it’s cold out. Well, another week is looking at us. Looking forward to tomorrow’s MMP though. 🙂 ---

Wow, **McUne** , that’s horrible! Lots of hugs for you and sis. Don’t write it off yet, **LiLi**! There are hours yet before 1:00 a.m. and labor has been known to last only a few hours. Maybe you’ll be lucky!? Oh, and **Cutie Pie** , I think the Cedar Point trip only sounds odd if no one else is actually invited. If you liked rides, would you be welcome? If you don’t think you would be then…not a good sign, I’m afraid. I’ve been reading _Middlesex_ off and on all afternoon. I really liked the beginning of it, but the middle is really dragging. I’m hoping it will pick up. Otherwise, I won’t be finishing it before book group later in the week. I’ve also been listening to a bunch of music on the NPR [music page](http://www.npr.org/music/). They have some good stuff there; I’ve worked my way through several concerts. Back to my book, I guess (she said with not a lot of enthusiasm). GT ---

**GT** , I think that if I liked rides that I would have been invited. I think that’s what’s bugging me the most, though, who is to say that even though I don’t like rides that I wouldn’t want to come anyways? But I wasn’t even given the option. Hi, everybody. I’m still not feeling more than about 65%, but at least my tummy has settled down. And my head isn’t throbbing; I just feel kind of rubbery-kneed and light-headed when I try to move around much. But tomorrow, with Papa Tigs at work, I’ll have to be able to function enough to let the Idiots in and out and such, so I pried myself out of bed at suppertime today and am trying to stay vertical for a while. **{{{Mumpers}}}** I’ve skimmed through everything, but can’t remember enough to comment on much except: **McUne** , if the guy’s in the military, make sure someone **tells** the military what he’s done. Because they don’t have military prisons for nothing. ☹ I’m going to go look through a couple other things I need to and then go crawl back in with the cat, who’s been extremely pleased with my state of misery since it keeps me available for her to snuggle and purr with. There isn’t much she likes better than when I get sick. Silly cat! I hope that TNC has arrived by tomorrow when next I check in! ---

How is your sister? {{{{hugs to you and her}}} I have settled down from this afternoon–it’s just business as usual for my family. My brother just called. Talked all about the pending trip to Oz that #1 son is taking with him next Dec, no mention of our gift to him for Xmas until I asked him directly about it. It took a long pause on my end for a thank you to finally come. I am not a petty person, nor am I all hung up on stuff, but this really, really bugs me. There is no reason to not say thank you or please or you’re welcome. I expected even my 2 year olds to know these “magic words”… Back to House MD for a bit, then sleep. Blessed sleep… ---

Holy shit, **McUne**. Prayers for your sister and your family. **Spaz** - heh. I wholeheartedly agree. **Pie** - I agree; lots of stuff could happen between then and now. On the other hand if it bothers you now it’ll probably still bother you then. If I were you I’d probably wait and see how it goes (not meant as advice or a suggestion or anything - just saying that that’s how I’d probably deal with it). I did talk to That Guy briefly today, but he said he had to go have dinner with his mom and asked if I wanted to talk later tonight or tomorrow. I said tomorrow would be fine - I was tempted to say tonight, but both of us have an early day tomorrow. I’m slightly afraid history is going to repeat itself and he’ll end up calling but trying to talk things out over the phone (which I HATE - I hate talking on the phone for any reason) since he’s too cowardly to say things to my face. Mr. Cheerio and his girlfriend (who is a darling girl even if she is a bit insane) came over and we stuffed ourselves with ribs and apple pie. It was my first attempt at apple pie - I’m kind of iffy on the results. I didn’t think it was sweet enough, but Mr Cheerio and his girlfriend loved it. Still, I think I’m going to add more sugar next time. Maybe brown. ---

I’ve been “out for the weekend” pretty much, too many teenagers around for me to concentrate on the 'Dope. So to begin with, {{{HUGS}}} to everyone who needs/wants 'em, **rigs** I _love_ the Pern books! Which are you reading now? If it costs my my Cool Kids membership to admit it, well, so be it, but I think they are great. Although I tend to dream of telepathic dragons when I get into them! I don’t know [Bpie\*\*, I personally would have a HUGE issue with it if skiffman tried anything like that, but I don’t know TVman so you should take that into consideration. Oh, and [BHaze\*\* I said my piece on the topic a long time ago, all I will say is I hope things work out for whatever is the best. **McUne** I am so very sorry. It hits very close to home, and without going into details I’ll just say make sure you let your sister know that you love her and that it’s NOT HER FAULT!!!
