I didn’t like it. It was basically just “our cartoon character meets some other cartoon characters, and absolutely nothing interesting happens”. I’d expect at least some attempt to sell insurance to WEC&RR. Though I suppose that this might just be the kickoff to a larger ad campaign where that happens. ---

I also liked the nods not just to Chuck Jones, but to Tex Avery (the piano is Avery circa “Bad Luck Blacky” – note you can see it in the sky when the gecko is looking down the anvil hole). ---

I like most of the Geico commercials. I think they’re pretty clever. A few fall flat but who can forget the sensitive caveman? And, although many find it annoying as hell, the Weeeee, weeee, weeee! piggy sticks in your head like a Neil Sedaka earworm. And that’s just the point of advertising. To get you to remember the name of the product. Geico does it well. * * * I apologize in advance for all who have either _weeee,weeee,weeee_, or _dowm dooby do dowm dowm_ in their head right now. ---
