I’ve seen that Jesus firsthand. And, damn - it is creepy. There’s just something wrong with a religion that preaches “No graven Idols” having a 900 foot tall zombie jesus torso attached to the front of its church.

It isn’t that tall. It may be 2330 above sea level, but it is just a decent sized thing on a large hill.
The one thing that caught my attention about this thing were gift shops on the path to the top of the hill. Half the shop would be filled with little replicas of the statue, I bought one, and other religious things. The other half of the shop would be filled with uncensored Carnival videos. I always wondered what the nice old nuns on their way to see the big ‘J’ thought of that duality.
