Does anybody know where I can download the whole version of the gimp? I tried to download it off of it’s homepage but managed to muck it up and not download some files. ---

The download section has at ton of mirrors. Start with the one closest to you. ftp://ftp.cs.umn.edu/pub/gimp/ probably. Read the docs carefully. The gimp has more features than a Batman utility belt. ---

“Send in [The GIMP!](http://www.gimp.org/download.html)” Use that page to find an FTP mirror close to you. There are mirrors around the world. The GIMP has a sagan of options and such. Read the docs very carefully and be sure you have a nice amount of disk space. ---

I realize this is waaay late, but I was doing a search on another gimp question and ran across this thread… Note that you need to download **both** the Gimp and GTK+ packages if you’re on Windows: [http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/](http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/) … and they’re not joking when they saying that you need to install GTK first. If you’re running Linux, I think it’s safe to assume that you knew that already, so it’s probably something else.
