I enjoyed the expedition storyline. Yes, it was a sidetrack form the main story but it was an enjoyable sidetrack. I’m not one of those people who feel the purpose of a story should be to get from the beginning to the ending as quickly as possible.

And IMO – with Nantucket being just off the North American continent – given a three-book series, it would have been almost criminal for nothing to be revealed / discovered about what things were like circa 1250 BC, further inland in North America.

I just read today that there’s an Emberverse RPG being released. Amazon seems to be saying it’s been released but the company website seems to be saying it’s still in development.
