There is a somewhat cave-like rock formation in the middle of the Carizzo Plain (alternatively spelled Carissa) (San Luis Obispo County, Ca.), with petroglyphs. I think it’s fenced off now to keep the vandals away, who only want contribute more petroglyphs of their own. You can only get out there with a guided tour anymore.
