# The God of the Christian Trinity is Gay

Christians should not persecute gays, because their own God is gay.
Other religions have a male God and a Female Goddess who complement one another. Like the Egyptian Isis and her husband Osiris. They love each other and have a son, Horus. Or the Hindu Shiva-Shakti. Shiva is the erotic ascetic and Shakti is his wife. Their lovemaking engenders all existence.
But in the Christian Heaven, female divinities are excluded. You only have three guys up there. What are they doing with each other up there? Hmmm…

God is, according to the Athanasian Creed, “without body, parts, or passions.” I’ll grant that for human beings, sex is an interesting subject – but any number of monerans and protists get along quite well without it. And, ignoring Patrick Swayze movies, ghosts seem quite disinterested in sex.
Ergo, your proposition attributes a degree of anthropomorphism to God which is unlikely in the extreme.
Now, arguments about Jesus in the flesh being gay (at least in orientation) might have a better time of it – though they would cause some horrified expressions of blasphemy!
We’re not to make accusations of trolling here, and I have no intention of violating that rule. But for the life of me, I cannot see what function you intended the OP to have other than stirring up a hornet’s nest. So I would like an explanation of what it was that you did intend to explore in it?

Yeah, why **homo** sexual instead of **a** sexual?
Since the stanndard line is asexuality and you _are_ the one with the assertion, the burden of proof is on you.
The behaviors of other gods hardly seem relevant. At least you haven’t shown it to be yet.

But if you actually believe in the Chirstian God, then none of those other gods exist, so their supposed sex life is likewise non-existant, and thus irrelevent.

Well, according to the Bible, God did get it on with Mary to make Jesus. So, at the very least, he’s bi-curious.

actually, while I believe in the eternal procession of the Spirit from the Father & the Son (which can be construed as kinda skewed), I also believe in the eternal begettal of the Son by the Father AND the Spirit.
& I also believe that if there is a Person in the Trinity that can be called “Mom”, it’s the Spirit.
So Dad God & Mom Spirit eternally beget God Jr but Dad & Jr eternally keep Mom running around… just like human families!

Cite, please? Nowhere does the Bible say that God “got it on” with Mary. In fact, it explicitly says that Jesus was born _of a virgin_, which means that no sex was involved.

Whats sick about it? Stupid yeah, trollish absolutely, and not very funny either (although the faux singles ad was pretty good), but hardly sick. When looking at world religions, a lot of them have gods getting it on with everything that moves and some things that don’t.

Not buying it. I’ve come across **a lot** of skeptics who seriously claim that the Bible says God had sex with Mary.
Besides, if it was indeed a joke, then it was in exceedingly poor taste.

**JT** , it may be in poor taste, but it certainly looks as if **Giraffe** is joking. I find it very hard to distinguish his posts from jokes. What criteria are you using to make the distinction between joke and non-joke regarding his posts?
