I assure you that my interest in seeing the now-85-year-old Ms. Morgan’s boobs has greatly diminished since the original series aired. ---

Checking around for living Chuck Bar\* people in show biz doesn’t give much. A couple of minor porn actors and Charles “Chuck” Barbee, director of photography for 70 episodes of _Night Court_, etc. Maybe he should hire Bull for protection. ---

If you haven’t seen _Confessions of a Dangerous Mind_, based on Barris’ claims of being an undercover CIA operative, where he’s played by Sam Rockwell, see it. It’s hilarious. ---

I, along with several college friends, spent many an afternoon (4:00 PM, IIRC) partaking in a certain substance and watching Chuck and friends. The show just got crazier the longer it was on. It must have been a hoot to be working on that set. In the unlikely event I ever use a bong again, I’ll do one in his memory. ---

My elementary school had a “gong show” talent contest. I sang “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. ---

One of my favorite stories is that Chuck Barris was auditioning people to host the Gong Show, and rejecting each one. Finally someone said “The only way it’s going to be done your way is if you host it.” So he did. And the rest is history. I’m sure Barris and Gene Gene the Dancing Machine are dancing up a storm somewhere. ---

Apparently, he didn’t get the concept of the _Gong Show_ as parody and wanted to treat it as a straight-up talent show, so Barris was asked to host it instead.
