**drmark2000** gives his [own take on marriage](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=7288853&postcount=1). Fair dos. Makes some reasonable points, contentious enough to grace the Pit. Discussion’s going merrily along, until **Lynn Bodoni** comes along and [uses her power to close it](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=7289675&postcount=60).
Hopefully, when he has her little pow-wow with her fellow officials, they will tell her what an idiot _she_’s been, and help her fight her own self-ignorance.

Roger, you mean well but you are in a minority here. \*\*drmark2000 \*\* is a twit. Plain and simple. He lies about being a doctor. He has been called on that in thread after thread. He consistently posts Ops to get reactions. He threatens us with his 20,000 word Magnus Opus. I was surprised the thread was closed, but only because in a way \*\*Lynn \*\* did him a favor and kept more poster from slamming him in his thread.
I think she made the right call. Do you know his background, he is on what we could call a short leash.

Bodoni closes threads at whim. It has nothing to do with the rules…the posted rules…but more in line with Bodoni’s sensibilities. God fucking forbid someone a little eccentric posts.

No… he posted a deliberately inflamatory Pitting of a subject that he knew would draw maximum attention while simultaneously making up things to support his insulting a massive population of the Doper community. As he’s lying about being a doctor, he doesn’t even have female “patients” who could tell him some of the things he was using to support his mysogynistic ramblings.

Have you been following this guy’s history? He loves being the center of (negative) attention and will go to great lengths to get his wish for conflict. He is a liar and very adept at manipulating people into taking his rants seriously, as if he was arguing in good faith.
You will probably be one of the few people who’d think it a loss when he is, inevitably, banned.

Speaking up as a poster who neither likes nor dislikes Bodoni…
drmark2000 keeps spouting this adolescent nihilistic bullshit. It`s annoying and it contributes nothing to the board. If he`d just talk about something else I imagine Lynn would have left him alone. As it is, he won`t be missed.

If **drmark2000** does, in fact, hold a PhD in clinical psychology then the only explination I can see for his behavior is that he is conducting stimulus-response experiments on the SDMB posting community. If this is the case then he is posting in bad faith and jerking people around just to see them jerk.
If he does not, in fact, hold a PhD in clinical psychology then he’s a stubbornly repetitive liar, at least on this point, and this could well fall afoul of the “don’t be a jerk” rule.
If I’ve missed a possibility let me know.

[duhmahhh2tauzen[/] is a doucheface plain and simple. He’s full of shit, and that’s his best quality. At least when he finally implodes a patch of Earth can be fertalized. I can only grudgingly agree with this Pit based on the fact he’s still here.
One thing he never addressed in any way. And I was willing to concede the PhD based on one qualifier. If he just would have admitted to getting it from a spam e-mail link, $50 fee, and digital camera sent to a 3rd world country Western Union drop box. Then I could have believed he had a degree. Not one that meant anything, but a piece of paper is a work of art when framed and covered in a pile of bullshit.
**Lynn** was not Pittable for that closing. If anything, every Mod is pittable for allowing the OP to be written in the first place.
Based on that linked OP BTW, I’m hoping to be one the lucky 50%ers whose marriage ends in death. Because that’s the ideal. 😛

I almost hate to say this, but I’m kinda looking forward to the magnum opus. Should be good for a larf.
But, yeah, I don’t think the thread was closed because of anything in itself, but rather because **drmark2000** has repeatedly posted threads that amount to little more than “Life sucks! do you dare deny it?” and then insulting everyone who disagrees with him and preening about his ability to face the truth which we lesser intellects are to cowardly to face.
It’s pathetic, and kind of funny, but I can see why the mods would get sick of it.

What I DO know is that **askeptic** has fallen foul of said rule by deliberately rendering a member of the board’s name incorrectly.
Does that make him a tool too? A whole toolbox? Think of it - if Winston had only been able to clone **askeptic** , he would have been able to finish all his jobs.
