Only heard of this show when the 2nd season recently premiered. After watching that I flash binged the first season to see what was happening. I love the Jason character, pure stupidity. Looks like they’re going somewhere with Janet this season. I’ll keep watching for a while. ---

In my head, I reconciled that because Michael kept saying that it was his first time being in charge of a neighborhood. I chalked it up to new guy, in over his head, doesn’t know what he’s doing, makes some mistakes incompetence. It was also plausible (at the time) that other good place neighborhoods had similar mistakes (the idea that the afterlife is a bureaucracy that can get mismanaged is something that pops up frequently) - and Michael just didn’t know about them. ---
